The Rev. Bobbi Kraft
Priest, Chaplain, Young Adult Minister
Pronouns: she/her, Interests: Geocaching, Travel/Pilgrimages, Crafting, Reading, Writing, Walking & Running, Scavenger Hunts, Cooking, Coffee, and Puzzles
Welcome! I’m Mother Bobbi (aka MotherB) and I am grateful to be chaplain to all who come through the doors of St. Francis House. Young Adult and Campus Ministry has been an important part of my life beginning with my own time as an Accounting and Biochemistry undergrad at Winona State University. Since those days as a campus ministry participant, I have committed myself to working with young adults to encourage a sense of spiritual well-being as well as walk alongside those who desire to discover and/or develop their own faith story.
In November 2021, I was blessed to move back to Madison after having lived in such places as Washington, DC; Waco, TX; Dohuk, Kurdistan; and Green Bay, WI. Previously, I’ve served as chaplain at both Georgetown and Baylor Universities.
Living in a new place is an opportunity to discover who we are and what brings us joy. As you embark on your own discovery, know that you are welcome at St. Francis House. It is my hope that you’ll find that your time here enables you to seek and wrestle with matters of faith and to experience God’s abundant love! Wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome here!
Curious? I’m always up for a cup of coffee/tea (my treat) and conversation. Schedule a time to chat with me via Calendly. I look forward to hearing your story!

Rue
Administrative Assistant
Pronouns: she/they. Interests: fantasy novels, card games, libraries, crossword puzzles.
——
Hello and welcome! My name is Rue, and I serve as the Administrative Assistant at St. Francis House. I call Wisconsin home after a childhood spent in Illinois. I earned a B.A. from UW-Madison in Art History and Religious Studies in 2025 and am currently enrolled in the university’s Master of Library and Information Studies program, with an emphasis on public librarianship.
Weekdays I’ll be around the House – and if not, you’re sure to find me at a library on campus – and I would love to chat about school or anything that’s on your mind. I am excited about the opportunities for each individual student to grow at St. Francis House, and I use my own experience as a previous undergraduate in the community to facilitate that. My main roles are to assist Mother Bobbi in running the administrative functions at the House, but I’m also here to foster an engaging and safe environment for everyone.
My email is rue@stfrancisuw.org if you’re interested in reaching out. I hope to see you around!
Jackson
Therapy Dog
Jackson belongs to our Chaplain, Mother B, and serves as therapy dog to students and staff. Jackson is a Bernedoodle with a zest for life and a love for people.
He might be a big dog but he is mostly full of fluff and love. His favorite things are meeting people, playing in water, and swinging his toys (or bed) around.
He is regularly in the open lounge (unless he has a meeting) and a prays with us at morning prayer (8:15 AM) Mondays - Fridays. Other times, he can be found taking walks around campus (he especially loves going to the UW Bookstore).
You can find him on Instagram at @jackmepup!
